Care Instructions
Copper Jewelry
(pure, non-coated, solid copper)
Use a polishing cloth such as "Shinee"; a non-toxic product for gold, copper, silver, brass or nickel, with dry polishing compound in the cloth… or use a liquid metal polish designed for copper, silver brass, etc… Jewelry also may be cleaned by scrubbing with an old toothbrush using a paste of any of the following: *Lemon juice & salt (rub with soft cloth, rinse with water and dry) *Lemon juice & cream of tartar (apply, leave on for 5 minutes, wash in warm water & dry with soft cloth) *Salt, white vinegar & flour (apply, let sit for 1 hour, rinse & polish with soft cloth). **Brass/Bronze will look brighter and need less polishing if rubbed with olive oil after each polishing. **If copper is tarnished, boil it in a pot of water with 1 tablespoon salt & 1 cup white vinegar for several hours. Wash with biodegradable liquid soap, (using an old toothpaste if needed) in hot water; rinse and dry… (Finger rings, not listed on website- please e-mail to order, especially will keep a nice luster through continual wearing inclusive of bathing and dishwashing.)
