Supply a picture and a NMC resident artist will create a treasured memory. Upon placing order (see below), please send a close-up photograph (minimum size 5"x3") which preferably shows clearly the windows to the soul (your eyes). If possible, please supply color photo for color portrait; for black and white portrait, please supply photo in black and white. Photo may be sent either in the body of an e-mail (please do not send as an attachment file, for security reasons e-mail paperclips are not opened) or via postal service (mailing address below). Please allow 3-4 weeks for completion and delivery.

Portraits
The goal here is to emphasize and point out the noble and positive attributes of ones' higher self. The sometimes serious ; the sometimes joyous side of ones' being, however, touching upon that which is beyond personality; that which transcends the me, mine, selfish aspects of the self. The Portraits draw upon That which is one with the Divine Essence and Universal Love. NMC portraits assist one to remember one's Self. To remember who one truly is - A spark of the Divine Essence of all that is, was and ever shall be.

The energies and surroundings of Nahziryah Monastic Community are conducive to attuning to the subjects' inner being - so that the portrait will portray that which is of a subtle but powerful means - invoking higher qualities and states of awareness. These portraits are done on 100% natural fiber cloth using a mixed media of acrylics/ watercolors and ink, which are then framed with colorful and/or solid fabric and wooden and/or bamboo rods. The top rod has cord attached for hanging purposes and the bottom bar is used as necessary weight and for rolling (up) the scroll.

About the Artist
The paintings and drawings are done by a NMC resident nun, practicing the disciplines of the Order; a direct student/disciple of the Reverend Baba Nazirmoreh (A.B.R.D.) - the founder and Spiritual Head and Director of Nahziryah Monastic Community and the Nazir Order of the Purple Veil. The Sister has lifetimes of experience and training; for expressing through the means of visual art. "The objective is not to focus on the artist's renowned fame and notoriety - but to focus on the artwork which is produced through the artist - not by the artist. Herein lies the key; to be an instrument for invoking the more spiritual and noble elements of our being."
